Cookie Policy
Effective Date: January 1, 2026. This policy outlines how Feedflickteamtonsi utilizes cookies, local web storage, and browser tracking technologies in accordance with European and Swiss data protection principles.
1. What Are Cookies and Local Storage?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your computer or mobile device by a website server when you visit a webpage. Local storage (such as HTML5 `localStorage`) functions similarly, allowing websites to store key-value pairs securely directly within your browser without sending that data to the server on every HTTP request.
We use these tools to retain your consent state, maintain secure server routing, and compile anonymous statistical metrics on guide readability.
2. Detailed Table of Cookies Used on Feedflickteamtonsi
Below is a complete, transparent disclosure of the technical storage mechanisms employed across our website:
| Identifier / Name | Category | Provider / Source | Specific Purpose | Storage Lifespan |
|---|---|---|---|---|
feedflick_cookie_consent_choice |
Essential / Functional | First-Party (Local Storage) | Stores your cookie consent choice ("accept", "reject", or "preferences") to suppress the banner on subsequent page views. | 12 Months (Persistent) |
__cf_bm / __cflb |
Essential / Security | Cloud Infrastructure Provider | Used to distinguish human readers from automated scrapers and balance network traffic across server nodes. | Session / 30 Minutes |
_pk_id.* |
Analytics (Non-Essential) | First-Party Matomo / Privacy-focused | Collects anonymized page view statistics without cross-site tracking or profiling. IP addresses are truncated. | 13 Months |
_pk_ses.* |
Analytics (Non-Essential) | First-Party Matomo / Privacy-focused | Identifies active reader browsing sessions to measure reading duration on regional dossiers. | 30 Minutes |
3. Classification of Cookie Types
A. Strictly Essential Cookies
These storage keys are strictly necessary for the technical operation and security of the website. Without these items, essential core functionalities—such as remembering your consent preferences and protecting against malicious denial-of-service bot attacks—cannot be fulfilled. Under Swiss and EU law, strictly essential storage does not require prior consent.
B. Privacy-Respecting Analytics Cookies
With your permission, we utilize privacy-focused analytics to evaluate how readers engage with our Lake Lucerne guides. We do not engage in third-party advertising tracking, behavioural retargeting, or cross-site profiling. All IP addresses are masked at the point of ingestion (e.g., 192.168.xxx.xxx).
4. How to Manage and Opt Out via Your Browser
You possess complete control over cookies on your device. You can configure your browser to reject cookies, alert you before receiving a cookie, or delete existing cookies entirely. Detailed instructions for major browsers are provided below:
- Google Chrome: Navigate to Settings > Privacy and Security > Third-party cookies and choose your preferred blocking level.
- Mozilla Firefox: Navigate to Settings > Privacy & Security > Enhanced Tracking Protection and select "Strict" or customize cookie permissions.
- Apple Safari: Navigate to Preferences > Privacy and ensure "Prevent cross-site tracking" and "Block all cookies" are selected according to your preference.
- Microsoft Edge: Navigate to Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies and site data.
Please note that if you disable local storage or essential cookies entirely in your browser settings, your cookie preference choices may not persist, causing the consent banner to reappear on every page reload.
5. Updates to This Cookie Policy
We periodically review and update this policy to reflect modifications in our technology architecture or regulatory statutory mandates. The date at the head of this document reflects the most recent revision.
